Goodbye Ms. Joy

Noah would like to say "goodbye for now" to his girlfriend Joy. This was Joy's going away party with the College and Career Group last night and although we had a great time, she will be missed SOOO much. But she has assured us she'll be back with a shiny new degree and then can become Noah's PA. :) Oh and if anyone ever wondered why my house slants to one side just look at the load the porch is taking. But how wonderful it is to gather with friends. We love you Joy!!

FIRST TIME IN A POOL

Noah had his first introduction to a pool this weekend. He actually liked it!! I think it was probably so hot that the fact that the water was cold didn't bother him. We started out standing on the top step to get him used to it and within a few minutes he was sitting on the step and laughing. Miranda taught him how to splash. Then we graduated to the middle of the pool with Daddy holding him. (He wasn't quite as thrilled with that). All of the fun lasted about 30 minutes and then it was time for a nap. A nap that lasted almost 3 hours!! If anyone knows my child, they know that is unheard of. I may have found a good thing!! How did you spend your Memorial Day?

WATER BABY

I'm so glad Summer is here because Noah LOVES water, in any form. Bathes are still his favorite and when you try to take him out of them....well....it's not a pretty sight. He also loves his new toy filled with water and a frog that squeaks. What will they think of next??
On another note, notice the Squinto eyes are back! My child for sure.

WHEW... WHAT A WEEKEND!

Have you ever had one of those weekends when you tried to cram fun into every crack and crevice?? Well we just had one of those. First, Noah got to go to his first reenactment. He did great but we didn't stay around for the shooting. Then we went to watch Aunt Rachael at the horseshow. It was WAY past Noah's bedtime so he stayed home with Nana and Poppy. Then on Sunday we went to Joy's going away party. Lots of fun but we were SOOOOO tired. This last picture if of Noah on Saturday afternoon during the reenactment. He had just had enough. So what was your weekend like??

BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN

Due to a lightning storm, Noah's Ark has been down for a while. But now we are all plugged in and ready to go again. Ain't technology grand?? So lots has been going on this past week, Noah has been for walks in his stroller (he looks thrilled doesn't he?), learning to throw a fishing rod with Poppy, and saying goodbye to old friends. :( That part makes me very sad but I'm going to make sure Noah remembers who Steven is so they can be buds when they come back in 4 years!! That's not so long right?? We'll miss you B&J and S!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers out there. These past 6 months have shown me just how hard it is to be a good mom. But I also see that it is so worth it. Thank you to our Mamas who worked so hard to get us out of childhood alive and relatively intact!! :) I hope Noah will be able to say the same one day.

Ahh.. the things one can do outside...

Noah loves to swing. On anything..... hammock (sp?), porch swing, or his new spiffy baby swing. I think he gets that from his mom because his dad gets nauseas after a few minutes on the hammock. Mike also took Noah for his first picnic Saturday. They had their sweet potato babyfood outside and then entertained themselves throwing rocks in the pond. (Mike threw, Noah just laughed). Ah, sweet summertime.

SUNSHINE

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful sunshine that has come upon us. Rumor has it that it's suppose to get rainy and cold this weekend. We are sorry that is has been so long since our last post but Noah is going through some transitional sleep thing that hopefully will be solved soon. Noah had his 6 month checkup on Monday. He is in the 40th percentile for weight and the 85th for height. He's going to be a stringbean like his Daddy. He also had 2 shots and had a fever yesterday but seems to be back to normal today. On a different note, Mike is FINALLY done with his Algebra class. He took his final last night. He had too make at least a 51 to pass so in his words "We'll see" !!
