Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Cowboys....

I think being Doctors and lawyers and such is highly overated. Go ahead Mamas..... let those boys grow up to be cowboys. I bet they'll have a lot more fun :)

Things only Grandparents can get away with......

Suckers and Popsicles. Things only Grandparents can get away with. Never mind the sugar shakes afterwards....... as long as he's happy!! :) I guess that's what makes Grandparents so special. They can get them all revved up and then send them home. Man I can't wait to have Grandkids! :)

AMISH

No, we aren't turning Amish but sometimes that doesn't seem like such a bad idea! I thought I'd show you some pictures we took at Mike's birthday last week. Noah's friend Sophie was there. He likes Sophie a lot (as you can see from the hand on the knee). Nana and Poppy brought them both hats back from Pennsylvania and they decided to show them off. I think the hat goes great with the "Chick Magnet" shirt. Don't you?

PULLING UP

So a few days ago I saw Noah grab onto the Tv stand and give me this look like "Watch This". I grabbed my camera and all of the sudden he stood up. He made it look so easy. After applauding his efforts and giving him a big kiss I then had to tell him not to pull up on the Tv stand. (That went over well). Don't worry everyone, we will be doing some baby proofing of the house so the appliances won't come crashing down!! I guess it's just a matter of time before my little baby will be walking.

Happy Father's Day to all of you Dad's out there. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and sacrifice to make our families work!! We love you for it.
PS: Noah would like to thank his Dada for being the best Dada around and for all the fun times that he shows him. We love you Mike!!

The Mountains are Calling... and I Must Go.

This is the Fam at Mast General Store

If you've never been to the Daniel Boone, you have no idea what you are missing or what your capacity to hold food is. Noah got to try lots of new foods.

Antique shopping in downtown Boone. Getting a piggy back ride from Daddy.

The park in Blowing Rock was one of our favorite things. Noah got to get out and relax in the grass a little. Look how good he can sit up now!

And this says it all. After a long hard day of shopping and playing and eating.

So we went on our first family vacation. We were a little scared of what might happen but Noah was a pure joy. We went to Blowing Rock and visited the Daniel Boone Inn, Mast General Store, Boone and enjoyed playing in the park. It was so relaxing, no work, no phones just our little family. I can't wait to do it again. If you haven't had a vacation lately..... I highly recommend one.

PLAY BALL

Well Noah has a new favorite toy. It's his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse bouncy ball. He chases it, crawls after it, catches up with it and then tries to fit it into his mouth. So far he has not been successful in that category. I love watching him do this but it scares me just a bit. He is so fast already and I fear I'll never be able to catch up!! One day soon he'll be kicking that ball outside, but for now he's content just to play with it under the kitchen table.

Crawling and Sippy Cups...what's next?

Just an update on Noah's little milestones. He loves using his Sippy cup for his milk. I think he feels in control and in charge when he does it (I wonder where he could have gotten that from?) Also, the crawling (or army crawling) has begun. He is everywhere, including in the cat food bowl. They will live if they eat cat food won't they Lydia?? I am definately afraid of what stage comes next!
