Stopping at a Railroad Museum along the way...

Aunt Michelle & Uncle Nait
Grandat & Noah
Laurel, Grandat & Noah at the Zoo

We took a trip this past weekend to SC to see "Grandat & Dusie". We had a great time and LOVED the Zoo. It was a fantastic zoo where the animals were up close. We got to walk through a Kangaroo Path where the Kangaroos were all around you. Pretty cool but it made Grandat a bit nervous :) Also, we got a great up close view of the Ape or "Pape" as Laurel called him. She had a freak out moment and said "All done Pape!". She didn't like him one bit. Mike & I were amazed at the Giraffe's. They were magnificent. I wish I could have gotten more pics of the whole weekend but my camera went on the blink after this last picture. Anyway, Thanks Grandat and Dusie for a great time.

"THE TALK"

So the other night I thought Noah and I were having "the talk". You know, the whole salvation, asking Jesus into my heart talk. He's only 4 but really has a grasp of spiritual concepts and has a huge thirst to know about God. For a few nights, we would say our prayers, he would tell me "Mama" I want God to take all the bad things away. I'm sorry for the bad things." I would just tell him that we can always say we are sorry to God for the things we have done wrong. OK, understanding sin..... on the right track.
Well, the next morning at the breakfast table it came.
Noah :"Mama, I want God to save me."
Me: "OK Noah, here's what you do. Pray and tell God you are sorry for the wrong things that
you've done. Tell him you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins . And then tell
him you choose to follow him and let him lead your life.
Noah: "Can you do it for me?"
Me: "No, Honey, this is something you have to do for yourself. I can't do it for you."
Noah: "Dear God, Please save me....... because I don't know how to drive a milk truck"

WHAT!!!! Apparently we weren't talking about the same kind of "saving" !!! :) I had to go into the other room and just laugh. Oh well, at least he understands he can take anything to the Lord in prayer! :) My sweet boy.

THE MONSTER TRUCK RALLY!-LOOK AT THAT SMILE :)

NOAH'S FIRST TIME SHOOTING A GUN

I have been absent from the internet world for a few weeks and I apologize for the lack of updates. I felt the need to disconnect for a while and reconnect with my Lord during the time I'd been on the computer. How wonderful and refreshing it was! I am so thankful for a God who will "Draw near to me and I will draw near to you!"

So... what have we been up to? Well, Mommy & Laurel have had some fun nights by ourselves just being girls (painting fingernails, makeup and playing dress up and shopping). Noah & Daddy have been quite busy themselves. Noah got to go to a Monster Truck Rally on Friday and had a ball. His favorite Monster Truck (Bigfoot) just happened to be there :) Saturday he and Daddy went to a clay pigeon shoot and Noah (with Daddy's help of course) learned a bit about gun safety and shot a gun for the first time! He LOVED it.

I have had the privaledge to help out with my Great-Aunt Ruthie who lives on a farm a few hours from here a weekend or two a month. This means Mike & the babies are on their own (well not really b/c Grandparents are a HUGE help) :). It has been working out really well and I feel so blessed to be able to get some quality time in at the farm with Aunt Ruthie who has Alzheimers but does surprisingly well. I truly treasure the days.

Anyway, that's about all from here. I'm sitting in my nice warm house, watching a football game with my husband, listening to the sleet on our windows. I love my life.
