Brother and Sister

Oh I cannot tell you how blessed we are!! We have 2 beautiful children who yes, are completely different but truly belong to us. We took Noah & Laurel to Pullen Park the other day. It's one of Noah's favorite places because of the train and we wanted to see how Laurel would do with unlimited space to play in. They had a blast. Laurel loved the slide. They are both not crazy about the carousel. Noah likes riding the little boats but the look on his face tells me he may be outgrowing them. So, Dadat took Noah to ride the BIG paddle boats. He had a great time paddling around the pond while Laurel and I looked on from the bank. We had a wonderful time with our babies and look forward to many more.

Yes the rumors are true. The plane has landed and Mike and Laurel are safe at home on US soil. I'll hopefully get some pictures from the wonderful friends and family that were at his homecoming to post soon. God's mercies were great during their 2 day travel ordeal but they are HOME and recovering nicely. We had a great day today with Laurel and are looking forward to a lifetime of memories with her. Thank you all for your prayers during this journey. I finally have my camera back from Ukraine so now I'll be able to post lots of pictures!

QUICK UPDATE

HI EVERYONE! MIKE ACTUALLY GOT LAUREL'S VISA AND MEDICAL CHECK TODAY SO HE'S REALLY COMING HOME TOMORROW!! PRAISE GOD FOR HIS MERCIES!! HOWEVER, THEY ARE EXHAUSTED B/C LAUREL BARELY SLEPT ALL NIGHT ON THE TRAIN AND THEREFORE MIKE DIDN'T SLEEP MUCH. TODAY WAS A WHIRLWIND AND LAUREL WAS A TYPICAL BUSY TODDLER WHO IS ENJOYING HER NEW FOUND FREEDOM AND LIFE. THIS MAKES FOR A HECTIC DAY FOR MIKE THOUGH. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR TRAVEL MERCIES AS MIKE IS VERY NERVOUS ABOUT THE PLANE RIDE WITH LAUREL AND KEEPING HER SEATED AND NOT SCREAMING FOR ABOUT 21 HRS. WORTH OF FLYING TIME!

Thank you all for your prayers. We are feeling great and over all of our sicknesses!! Praise God!! Mike hopefully will be landing in USA on Saturday if all goes well in country with paperwork. Pray for travel mercies for Laurel who has an awful ear infection and no medication for the plane ride. It won't be long now!!

Still Sick-- but Getting Better

Hi Everyone! Just a quick update. As of Saturday, Noah was diagnosed with the Swine Flu, Pneumonia and an Ear infection. Sick little boy! But Praise God he seems to be doing fine with major doses of antibiotics for the infection. I also came down with some sort of stomach bug (or flu) but we both seem to feel better today. So.... Hopefully we'll be all better and out of quarentine soon!! ;) Miss you all!

Home again

Hi everyone in blogging world. I have arrived home from my long journey. Mike however is still overthere finalizing the details of the adoption for Laurel. Once I get back in the swing of things and get Noah over a cold and pink eye I will return to the blogging world! Miss you all.
