THE DREADED DAY

There will probably be a lot of this going on tomorrow because for Noah it is SHOT day at the doctor. Please pray for him that it won't be too painful!! Oh and this is also the cure for colic!! It turns out that Noah has reflux instead of colic. He's on baby Zantac and it seems to be helping. Thank you for all your prayers.

That is a too cute picture! I remember when Rich used to hold Kimberly and Merlin at the same time...
Wow, Zantac, huh? Poor Noah must have had the reflux bad to have to take that! Glad there's something that can be done and now you guys can rest some:)

That is such a sweet picture!! I'm so glad you have a solution to the supposed colic - and hopefully the reflux will go away as he learns to sit up and gets more mobile. By the way - your cat looks just like ours!

Yeah, after you have that first kid all the animals get pretty jealous.

Now, not to make you freak out or anything but I offer this up just as a tidbit of info that may or may not be helpful in the future.

One of my co-workers had a son who had bad reflux and the doctors worked for a long time to try and correct it. All during this time their son remained rather small as he was just not eating like he should. They ended up getting an MRI or something and it showed that the boy's pancreas had grown around the bottom end of the stomach where the valve emtpies into the intestine thus preventing the stomach from properly emptying and causing the reflux. The happy ending is that they had surgery to unwrap the pancreas from around the stomach. The boy is doing well, the reflux is fading and he is beginning to put on weight!

A happy ending with a lesson to be learned (so every time I hear about baby + reflux I'll always think of my friend and his son).

Praise God and pass the egg nog!

Rich, that was ugly. Don't you know NEVER to tell scary stories to new parents (unless problems continue to arise)?
Martha, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain- he's had WAY too much eggnog:)

Hey...I didn't know Richpo was an eggnog fan too!

I think I heard you're nursing, but if you end up having to go the formula route for whatever reason, I would recommend Enfamil AR. It's expensive, but ended up the only thing that worked for Aiden until he got to be about seven or eight months old and Target brand worked for him. He was never officially diagnosed with reflux, but that's what they thought he had.
