FOUND THINGS

Since it has been so beautiful the past few days, Noah and I have taken advantage of the weather and gone on some long walks around the farm. We have enjoyed the new budding flowers and Noah has enjoyed picking a few things up along the way. We found a bird's nest, empty of course, made with a snake skin intertwined in it. We also picked a beautiful camelia from Aunt Claudia's yard. Then Noah found a pretty blue piece of glass from an old bottle and some other gross blue thing that I think was used on Aunt Rachael's horses leg. It was a wonderful day and one that I treasure. I love seeing how little it takes to make a child happy. I could really learn a lesson it that.

I'm going to have to print out your chicken picture for the kids at school. They're still in love with your chickens I showed them last year. ...of course, I have to know that chicken's name because they're going to ask.
I had a flashback as I watched the kids inspecting the tractor that's being used to dig for a new walkway at the school today. I stood back, watched them explore, and sniffed the freshly broken soil. Oh, to be 5 again having dirt bomb fights in the garden after Daddy plowed!

Miranda, that chicken's name is Swoop. I know this b/c her crown on her head flops over and the rest of them have one's that stand up. She is the leader of the pack these days. Miss you!!

I love the chicken picture!! Also, isn't it amazing how little it takes to entertain a child? So why do I keep spending money on toys?

That's what I'm saying Lyds!

Not spend money on toys??? I can't wait for the day when Noah starts crying in Walmart because mommy won't buy the toy he wants! Make sure you take a video of that! In addition, I can't wait for him to start begging me for money like some of the promise land children do!

Sorry Martha...me being my obnoxious self again! :D
